Position: Construction Manager

Job Description: Serves as on-site company representative during the construction of ethanol plant. Monitor construction to ensure procedures, materials & equipment comply with approved project plans, specifications, & technical drawings. Provides documentation of construction progress to include shop drawings, manpower, schedules, delays, changes, payments, & other events affecting the project. Maintains liaison between sub-contractors, project manager, & consultants during construction to resolve field problems, & to maintain project schedule & budget. Interpret blueprints & specifications for contractors to ensure compliance with construction plans & specifications & obtain additional information from the project engineers. Will review & recommend approval of payment to contractors for quantities of materials received or used & work completed during specific periods. Coordinate & assist with final inspections: monitor completion of the punch list.

Background Requirements: BS degree in engineering, construction management, or an equivalent technical subject is preferred. 5 to 7 years experience in industrial construction management. A working knowledge of electrical, structural, HVAC, and other processing facility systems is required. Proficiency in MS Project, Excel and word.
